The longest barrier reef in the western Hemispheres, with approximately 185 meandering miles (298 Km) with numerous coral formations, and a large variety of marine life.
It varies from 8 to 16 miles or (13- 26 Km) from the mainland to less than one miles off shore. Much of this gigantic wall running parallel to the coast of Belize, is unexplored and is easily accessible by boat between the mainland and the reef are numerous island know as cayes.
The Reef offers several different Snorkeling and Diving sites, where both beginners and experienced snorkelers can enjoy in a comfortable environment.
